It’s that time of the year when the holiday season is upon us and Friendsgiving celebrations, in conjunction with Thanksgiving, are becoming more popular each year.
So what the heck is Friendsgiving, anyway? The word “Friendsgiving” is a literal mashup of the words “friends” and “Thanksgiving”. It’s a day spent enjoying a large meal of your favorite Thanksgiving dishes with your closest friends. Friendsgiving tends to be more of an informal potluck-style meal exclusively for sharing with friends and is celebrated around the same time as the Thanksgiving holiday. This modern holiday is perfect for doing it your way as there are no set guidelines.
While many people enjoy the traditional Thanksgiving celebration, more people are starting to celebrate Friendsgiving in lieu of or in addition to heading home to be with family for the holiday.
