earth hour 2013

Happy Saturday Today is Earth Hour Day! Earth Hour is an initiative led by the World Wildlife Fund that was created to raise global awareness about climate change and hopefully extend beyond the hour-long event. 7,000 cities in 152 countries with some of the world's most famous landmarks including the Empire State Building, Big Ben, the Sydney Opera House and the Burj Khalifa participating in this initiative by turning off the lights for an hour tonight from 8:30 pm until 9:30 pm their local time. I think it is so amazing that so many are participating this year, especially all the famous landmarks!

So tonight from 8:30 pm until 9:30 pm your local time, commit to turn off all your lights in support of this vision to help bring awareness to climate change.

And be sure to check out the I WILL IF YOU WILL campaign from Earth Hour to encourage positive action toward the environment beyond tonight's one hour event.

Together, we can all make a difference in saving our planet!
