I love the tunes (not to mention the fashion and design) from the "Rat Pack" era—Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr., Louis Prima, Peggy Lee, Mel Torme, Bobby Darin and the likes. They've got such a great vibe and swagger and truly showcase the talents of the musicians and singers. I adore that loungey, big band sound and have been back on a kick of listening to that music more frequently. (I have always had an affinity for this type of music, but maybe it's resurfaced because we've been catching up on the series, Mad Men.) I highly recommend picking up some of the CDs in the Ultra Lounge series. They are absolutely fabulous! Pour yourself a cocktail and enjoy a few intoxicating videos from some of the lounge genre's greats!
